Love in a Dangerous Time Wins Marketing Campaign of the Year

Humanity and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights have been recognized with the Marketing Campaign of the Year award at the fourth annual Manitoba Tourism Awards for the Love in a Dangerous Time exhibition campaign.

Presented by Travel Manitoba and Tourism Winnipeg, the award celebrates marketing work that drives awareness, engagement, and cultural impact within Manitoba’s tourism and arts sector.

Created to support the Museum’s groundbreaking exhibition exploring the LGBT Purge in Canada, the campaign was designed to honour lived experiences with care, dignity, and emotional resonance. Through storytelling, photography, out-of-home, radio, print, and digital executions, the work invited Canadians to reflect on a painful chapter in the country’s history while recognizing the resilience and courage of those affected.

At the heart of the campaign was a simple but powerful belief: stories have the ability to create empathy, deepen understanding, and inspire change.

The recognition reflects the strength of the partnership between Humanity and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, and the importance of creative work that helps important stories reach broader audiences.

The campaign has also been recognized nationally through multiple award shortlistings across advertising, campaign, and craft categories.

We’re honoured to have contributed to work that continues to spark dialogue, reflection, and connection.
