While sustainability can mean different things to different organizations, at Humanity, it means empowering brands to uplift communities and committing to making an impact in positive and transformative ways.

As an organization, one of our founding principles was to leverage our industry skillsets to contribute to the greater wellbeing of the global human collective by devoting our time, resources, and talent to help charitable and non-profit organizations thrive.

At Humanity, inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility are at the heart of everything we do. We ensure our workplace is supportive for all and offers the best opportunities to learn through educational seminars, conferences, and DEI-focused lunch sessions with guest speakers discussing topics like Black History, Pride, Trans Inclusion, and Indigenous Allyship.
We are part of the MH3 Collective, and as part of the Collective’s give back model, Humanity helps support the Collective’s two non-profits: Black Talent Initiative, and Park Street Education.
Our DEI Advisory Board, Humanity Unity, is an advisory panel of leaders from a diverse set of communities. Unity takes leaders from a cross-section of communities who together act as an intellectual cultural resource to help inform and guide our brand transformation strategy and creative work through their lived experiences and their knowledge.
As strong advocates for social change, we recognize our responsibility to use our procurement needs to ensure fair representation and authenticity in our storytelling. This comes to life in several of our standard business practices such as:
Community Collaboration: We never work on behalf of a disadvantaged community without using community members to create the work.
Diverse Creators: We maintain an up-to-date list of creators representing diverse communities for our projects.

At Humanity, creative design is about more than just aesthetics—it’s about building communities and telling stories in a way that everyone can understand. We believe that design must be accessible to all, recognizing the diverse ways humans experience the world—from neurodiversity to various sensory and physical abilities.
Accessible design should be a fundamental consideration from the start of any project. It’s not something that can be added at the end. Solid design principles, such as hierarchy and grids, can help make information easier to interpret.
We ensure all our digital work meets and exceeds AODA compliance and incorporate this thinking into our brand identity work and guidelines.
We also believe that representation matters. An important part of accessible design and advertising is showcasing all humans and communities so that everyone can see themselves as valued members of society.

Sustainable Ads: Digital advertising is a carbon-intensive industry. It’s essential for marketers to identify the carbon footprint of their digital campaigns and find ways to offset it. Through our partners, we help brands measure, reduce, and offset carbon emissions in the programmatic supply chain.
Telling the Sustainability Story: From Canadian dairy farmers to global wellness brands, we are committed to helping our partners not only improve their sustainability practices but also share their journeys through impactful storytelling.
